Membership
 The federal charter from Congress charges the Boy Scouts of America to make its program available to all those who are eligible, but recognizes that young people must become members in order to derive the benefits from the Scouting program. As a council, we must serve the membership and also actively recruit new members.
Since we are a membership organization, we must seek opportunities to retain and increase the membership in the Scouting programs. By inculcation of the high values and accepting of the philosophies offered by the Boy Scouts of America young people's lives are changed by our program. Those who believe youngsters need what we have to offer will strive to touch the lives of as many young people as possible.
