How to become a Chartered Partner

Community organizations, Religious Institutions, Fire Departments, Police Departments, Military installations, businesses, Labor Unions, Educational Institutions, even simply a group of interested individuals may Charter a Scouting unit.

The Chartered Partner owns the Unit it charters and may craft the unit to help fulfill the goals of the Chartering institution.

The Chartered Partner must subscribe to the values of Scouting, provide a place for the unit to meet and a place to store the unit's equipment, help with start up, and help provide adult leadership.

Scouting will provide program materials, training for the leadership, opportunities for the units to grow in Scouting.
